SOCIAL NETWORK

The beginning of the Zapatista social network in Chiapas was not expected to have such an exponential rise. The core for such strength is the right use of the media. Something equally sudden movement success occurred in Oaxaca; a straightforward initiate by the teachers demanding better conditions for them an their students ended in a “social network.” Nobody was absolutely certain about the demand from the teachers, and the Mexican government was indeed the less interested in giving the any answers to their requirements, and equal skepticism was coming from the ordinary people that initially were not supporting the teachers. However the unexpected appeared when the very well organized protesters acquired the attention from every body by the accurate use of the media. The situation climbed so fast, that the government ordered to the police to disintegrate the protest by taking the radio station from which the teachers were sending their message. The shocking result was to find the skeptical ordinary people in fury for this issue and the situation resulted in a bigger protest that not only included teachers but also regular people. Media and communication once again stroked .

One finds equal interesting and with huge potential the use of the media by the new generation of students in Cuba. They are demanding equal opportunities for everybody and freedom; what rise questions is to hear that some of those students have disappeared for some days and then have been seen in interviews fiercely supporting the Cuban revolution.
